About Me

Hi, I'm Serena Liu, Harvard '28. Currently, I'm a senior at Parkway West High, home of the Pathfinder, one of the best school newspapers in the nation — that is, in my biased opinion. You can also find my work in West Newsmagazine, Education Week and the New York Times.

For me, digital journalism is the intersection of writing, computer science and design. In an era of increasing misinformation, I'll use my technological experience to cut through the noise and reach my readers.

In 2023, I represented Missouri at the Al Neuharth Free Spirit and Journalism Conference. I connected with press professionals and students from around the nation, renewing my commitment to pursuing press rights for journalists everywhere. This year, I am working with the Student Press Law Center to advocate for New Voices Legislation in Missouri.
